The Music of Morse at the proms

Opera Anywhere will perform live, some of the most familiar and popular music associated with the Morse episodes including extracts from The Magic Flute and arias, duets and ensembles from the music of Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Wagner and Bizet.

Accompanied by a small orchestra, Opera Anywhere singers perform on punts and on an especially erected stage in the harbour area alongside the River Cherwell at Wolfson College.

There will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy the wonderful college grounds pre-performance and during the interval, with a picnic if you wish.  Audience members are welcome to bring chairs and blankets to place on the lawns adjacent to the performing area and there are also some ‘box seats’ in a gallery area available at an additional cost.

Audience members who attend either of the matinee performances of the Gilbert & Sullivan shows can enjoy a discounted ticket price of £20 (adults) £10 (under 18’s)

Opera Anywhere would like to thank Antony J Richards of the Inspector Morse Society with his help in programming this concert.

If weather inclement, a decision will be taken to consider moving the performance to Wolfson’s new auditorium.
