This October, we are delighted to announce the release of a special, digital storybook about Menotti’s opera Amahl and the Night Visitors.
Featuring specially commissioned illustrations alongside audiovisual elements, the book is a fun, fact-filled introduction to the opera especially for children. It’s the perfect way to explore the world of the opera at home or in the classroom.
As well as helping children to explore the piece, the project is also working to support schools and teachers in preparing their students to join in a performance with Opera Anywhere.
Composer Jonathan Pease will create a special, flexible arrangement of the chorus music in Amahl and the Night Visitors to make it more suitable for children’s voices and groups with varying levels of musical experience. We’ve also created video lessons that teach the words and music and backing tracks to make practice easier.
