Hansel and Gretel online!
Our Hansel and Gretel online storybook has proved to be a wonderful asset and includes a simplified story written by our very own Serenna Wagner and illustrations by the professional artist James Mayhew. The book includes links to the music and interviews with some of the cast, we are planning to introduce this to schools throughout 2021 and 2022, which will provide the basis of face-to-face workshops as well as supporting the project from our online resources. Do take a look and see for yourself!
We have also been able to do something similar with a digital storybook created by David Jones for our regular Christmas production of ‘Amahl And The Night Visitors’ by Menotti. The book includes animation, music, links to interviews with our cast and a range of educational resources to aid music education. Like our Hansel and Gretel project this will again appeal to children and young people and anyone involved in music education.
The Mikado Video with animation!
Anyone that knows us will know that we enjoy performing various Gilbert and Sullivan productions and we’ve supported this emphasis with a lovely 30 minute video created by Emma Marchment for our production of The Mikado. Puccini is also included in our range of online resources and three of our Sister Angelica performers directed by Katie Blackwell have created a lovely short film which will appeal to all ages and tastes.
We do hope you enjoy having a look at these films, please do feel free to share them as widely as you can – we really want as many people to see them and benefit from them as possible.
