In the Court of Count Almaviva, there’s a divide. The servants are young, wild and free – seizing the day and looking for change. The elders, however, would prefer things to stay traditional. Very traditional. 18th century traditional. Just for one day, the New Romantics and the old Romantics collide as Figaro and Susanna try to escape into a new world, while Almaviva and Bartolo cling to the rules of the past.

In a new production from Opera Anywhere, fall in love with Mozart’s beloved characters all over again as we ride the waves of comedy and drama with them.

Sung in English.

What our audiences say

'What a performance it was! Even in its cleverly adapted and shorter form, with a trio of instrumentalists (cello, flute and piano) replacing the orchestra, everything that makes The Magic Flute so wonderful was there… All in all, this performance of The Magic Flute will be remembered and talked about by our family and the friends who came with us for a very long time.'

Nicola Harvey, audience member, Waterperry Gardens, 2018
