Inspiring Young Minds Through the Magic of Opera

At Opera Anywhere, we believe opera should be accessible, imaginative, and fun. We want to keep opera alive for everyone to enjoy -whatever your age, so we reinvent operas, singing them in English and bringing the stories vividly to life. It’s all about sparking creativity and showing how opera can captivate anyone, anywhere.

Our digital story books and online projects are tailored to engage young minds, spark creativity, and make opera accessible and FUN. Whether you’re a teacher looking to add a musical twist to your lessons or a parent keen to ignite your child’s love for the arts, you’ll find resources to entertain and inspire.

Digital Resources

Our projects range from digital opera storybooks, with specially commissioned illustrations and audio, to videos and online workshops. They’re the perfect way to explore the magical world of opera, learn about the music, and dive into the stories in vivid depth.

Our library of digital storybooks includes:

Amahl and The Night Visitors Digital Storybook

Opera Anywhere we are delighted to share a special, digital storybook about Menotti’s opera Amahl and the Night Visitors.

Featuring specially commissioned illustrations alongside audio visual elements, the book is a fun, fact-filled introduction to the opera especially for children. It’s the perfect way to explore the world of the opera at home or in the classroom.

As well as helping children to explore the piece, the project is also working to support schools and teachers in preparing their students to join in a performance with Opera Anywhere.

Composer Jonathan Pease has created a special, flexible arrangement of the chorus music in Amahl and the Night Visitors to make it more suitable for children’s voices and groups with varying levels of musical experience or limited rehearsal time. We’ve also created video lessons that teach the words and music and backing tracks to make practice easier.
