Received national press attention for ‘Song Cycle’ performing Vaughan Williams’s Songs of Travel in eighteen concerts across the UK
David works in song, theatre and opera. In 2021 he performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in The Comedy of Errors in Stratford-upon-Avon and at the Barbican. He received national press attention for Song Cycle in which he rode his Brompton folding bike 1000 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End, performing Vaughan Williams’s Songs of Travel in eighteen concerts along the way.
He has worked with the King’s Head Theatre, Heritage Opera and Opera Anywhere, amongst others. Recent projects have included a recording and premiere of a new song cycle by Geoffrey King on texts from Derek Jarman’s diaries and the premiere of Nick Bicât’s South Sea Bubble at the Reform Club.
