James has become a regular performer with Opera Anywhere and somehow manages to fit in performances with Longborough Festival Opera and Thursford Christmas Spectacular
Opera Anywhere G&S
James is a baritone based in London with experience in Opera, Musical Theatre, TV and Film. He is thrilled to be joining Opera Anywhere for another year of fun performing some wonderful G&S roles alongside his all-time favourite, Papageno in The Magic Flute. Last year James joined the company of L’elisir d’amore for Longborough Festival Opera, with whom he previously covered and performed the role of Moralès as well as Lillas Pastia in Carmen. Throughout the festive period he joined the cast of the Thursford Christmas Spectacular as a vocal soloist.
Other recent performances include: Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Guangrui in The Monk of the River for Tête à Tête, Mercutio in Roméo et Juliette, Amantio in Gianni Schicchi, and performances with The National G&S Opera Company. Prior to lockdown James was an emerging artist at Longborough Festival Opera, playing Pane in their acclaimed production of La Calisto.
Oxford Touring Opera

He is thrilled to be joining Oxford Touring Opera to revisit Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro, a role of which he has previously performed for HGO, Hewletts Opera and Stroud Arts Festival. Last year James joined the company of L’elisir d’amore for Longborough Festival Opera, with whom he previously covered and performed the role of Moralès as well as Lillas Pastia in Carmen. Throughout the festive period he joined the cast of the Thursford Christmas Spectacular as a vocal soloist.
