Wishing you a joyful festive season 🎄
The festive season is here — a time to celebrate, reflect, and create lasting memories. We hope your holidays are filled with happiness, warmth, and love.
At Opera Anywhere, we are delighted to round off our 25th anniversary year with performances this weekend of our much-loved, family-friendly Menotti opera Amahl & The Night Visitors.
We’re thrilled to welcome a cast made up of familiar faces alongside some wonderful new young talent. In particular, we’re delighted to introduce Raffy Gill-Wagner (treble), who will be performing the role of Amahl, the poor shepherd boy at the heart of the story. Raffy has been a chorister at Radley College for four years and was awarded Most Improved Chorister in 2025.
You can read Raffy’s full biography here: Raffy Gill-Wagner – Opera Anywhere.
Amahl & The Night Visitors is a short, one-act opera, so to complete the evening we’ve turned to our closest allies, Gilbert & Sullivan, with their hilarious 40-minute courtroom comedy Trial by Jury.

And finally, we thought you might enjoy revisiting a little piece of Opera Anywhere history. Here’s an excerpt from one of our early performances of Amahl & The Night Visitors, filmed at the Holywell Music Room in Oxford some years ago: https://youtu.be/sENKtN0dsg8
