For every touring company providing entertainment and presenting events, this year has become a challenging one. At Opera Anywhere we are no different, but our optimistic attitude, fleet of foot and flexible approach enables us to remain positive in the face of adversity. Much like the police in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, when they outwitted the pirates against all odds!
Thanks to our close working relationship with our wonderful venues and promoters, and our amazing team of young professional performers, we have so far been able to re-arrange and re-organise the majority of our events that had been planned for the spring to summer season into the summer and autumn.
In some cases, we have been able to increase the number of performances at any one venue. For example, our two performances in Cornwall (originally scheduled in June) have now become four performances at the end of August and first week in September. Our Autumn schedule is looking packed too and we are soon to announce a busy winter period!
Obviously the situation is changing all the time and all of us in the events business need to keep abreast of government advice and guidelines, and for this reason, we are able to promise any ticket buyers complete, full refunds (including booking fees) should any of the events we promote get cancelled or rearranged.
We had been due to celebrate our 20th year with a very special birthday party event but bearing in mind the current situation we’ve decided to make a splash in our 21st. Watch this space for further news!
Throughout April, May and June we will be posting videos of various clips on our social media channels from our 20-year history. Do like and share if you can, we’d love to share our Opera Anywhere journey with a wider audience during this hiatus!
